I was honored to serve as a peer reviewer for an article submitted to the Society of American Archivists in 2023, and I was pleased to learn that it has since been published in Volume 88, Issue 1 of The American Archivist. It is a thoughtful and insightful contribution to the field.
I encourage you to explore the journal and consider becoming a peer reviewer in any reputable journal within your field. As an example, here are brief guidelines for authors and reviewers for The American Archivist journal. Being a peer reviewer is a meaningful opportunity to strengthen your professional skills, contribute to the advancement of the discipline, and expand your network within your academic community. You can review the article’s abstract (and other articles) here.
I owe a book update (which was promised for December). I took an extended break for the holidays and my birthday, and am slowly getting back into it (recent New England winter weather has not helped either!). I am currently working on music-related items, as well as research requests for Hearthside House Museum – this explains the sporadic posts for Ghastly News and Ghastly Images. Hoping to shift priorities beginning in March.
