Hello folks, I hope you are all doing well.
I wanted to provide some updates on The Ghastly Historian, as (some of you may have noticed) there has been some inconsistencies that I wanted to address.
- Ghastly History blog: This was originally intended to be a monthly blog, but some of the topics I have researched/am researching are considerably complex and require ample research and digging into numerous primary and secondary sources to get the facts to the public. Some blog posts also require travel, depending on the topic. I have some topics that are on my to-do list, and are in the midst of being researched. This leads me to my next item:
- Non-Ghastly Historian ventures: Earlier this year, I took on a part-time volunteer research position with the Hearthside House Museum to help explore various topics related to the museum’s founders, their families, and the surrounding area. It has been a rewarding experience thus far. I am also an independent musician, and am currently in the writing process. I also have a remote position in photo annotation. Balancing my historical research, music writing, work (both volunteer and professional), and personal obligations has been quite a balancing act.
- Ghastly News and Ghastly Images: As I balance my various obligations, I have remained/remain committed to posting something on a consistent basis. Hence, the Ghastly News and Ghastly Images series. There have been some hiccups and interruptions as of late (i.e. the balancing act) but I am back on track this week.
I just wanted to provide a little peek into The Ghastly Historian’s world. I appreciate everyone’s engagement and viewership, and look forward to continuing to provide ghastly history to you all.
